Bags are packed, liquids confiscated, and now we're just waiting... for hours... to board...
a 15 hour flight to Hong Kong.
Once we arrive in HK, some of us will be visiting Victoria Peak and Stanley Market since we have a 12 hour lay over.
And then finally, we'll be in Kathmandu - for any final prep before our early morning flight to Lukla on Thursday.
Namaste. :)

Sure hope your flight went well. I'll be following your progress through your blog. This is an adventure of a lifetime. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI am reliving a bit of my youth with you guys! Almost 30 years ago I went to the indian subcontinent. Lukla was a grassy (and muddy) airstrip when I was there, but enjoy the flight, it is an awesome one!! I will put up some images of the trek from Lukla to the base camp, which I did back then. I know some stuff will look different, but I will bet some stuff is the same...
ReplyDeleteI have procrastinated posting these images, as I gotta clean up the scans, but I will show them to you anyhow...
